The initial education requirements for condominium management licensing were defined in regulation and by Minister’s designation. These requirements vary depending on the type of licence, as well as the experience and education that an individual had obtained prior to November 1, 2017, when mandatory licensing took effect. Beginning November 1, 2021, the Registrar of the CMRAO will define education requirements for condominium management licensing.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) describes a process used by the CMRAO to ensure a fair assessment of the credentials and qualifications of applicants who have not completed the recognized coursework required to hold a General Licence.
