Licence Renewal

All licences issued by the CMRAO expire unless they are renewed annually. The licence year runs from July 1 to June 30 and the deadline to complete the renewal is midnight on June 30. Licensed individuals and providers can continue providing condominium management services as long as renewal applications and annual licensing fees are submitted by the June 30 deadline.

Starting on June 1, licensees can submit their renewal applications by logging into their CMRAO account, completing the renewal application form and paying the annual licensing fee.

All licensed condominium management provider businesses are required to pay an annual licensing fee of $799 plus $340 for each individual they employ as of May 31 of the previous licensing year who holds a General Licence, Transitional General Licence or Limited Licence. The CMRAO will calculate the annual licensing fees for providers based on employment information reported by the providers and individual licensees as of May 31 each year. The CMRAO will not process adjustments or refunds.

All condominium management providers are required to notify the CMRAO within five days of the date of commencement or termination of the employment of every condominium manager that the provider employs and, in the case of termination of employment of a condominium manager, the reason for the termination. Condominium Management Providers should not wait until the renewal period to update this information.
